First Quarter Performance Reports Posted Online:

Your first quarter performance reports are now available to view online under the “Performance Tab” when you login to your Trust Company of America account(s).  These show the net gains, percentage return, and quarter end values for your accounts as well as the overall details of your portfolio holdings as of March 31, 2013.

The Markets:

The U.S. financial markets gave up some ground last week but have rebounded some so far this week as of today.  Interest rates remain low, with the current 30 year fixed rate mortgage at 3.50% and the 15 year fixed mortgage rate at 2.74%. (Bankrate.com)  We continue a cautious approach to our overall allocations at this time, and do see some internal signs that are warning us of a possible stock market “correction” in the near term as we have been expecting.  We will keep watching this very closely.

Don’t Believe all you See or Hear:

Today provided a good example as to why you cannot believe what you might see over the internet or on social media.  During the trading day today, the Associated Press “twitter” account was hacked and it was posted that “two explosions in the White House and President Obama was injured” turned out to be false, but the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped over 140 points in minutes on the “tweet”, only to see the AP delete the post and the Dow gained back the loss in minutes as well.

We appreciate the privilege to serve you all , and please don’t hesitate to call us if you ever have any questions or concerns, or if we can be of further service in any way.

God Bless,

Your TEAM at F.I.G. Financial Advisory Services, Inc.
